Supporting Communities
We are committed to making a positive impact on society and our local communities across the world. In addition to continuing and extending our scholarship programmes to drive interest and develop talent in the maritime industry, our employees also volunteered to support community initiatives. In 2023, we collectively volunteered 722 hours in the communities that we operate in.
Maritime Scholarships
We continue to support young talent in the maritime industry through scholarships in our operating locations. For the fourth year, we awarded two three-year scholarships to students in the Maritime Business Diploma at Singapore Polytechnic.
We also partnered with Texas A&M Foundation to fund scholarships for Maritime Transportation and Marine Engineering undergraduates during their summer semester. Additionally, we launched a new partnership with Newcastle University in the UK, offering a scholarship for a one-year Master’s in Shipping and Logistics.
Supporting Vocational Education in Rio de Janeiro
Empowering students in Rio, we collaborated with Dream, Learn, Work to provide students between ages 20 to 25 the opportunity to pursue vocational education, setting them on the path towards a brighter future.
These promising young adults will attend courses across a variety of industry-related fields offered by esteemed educational institutions in Rio. AET and DLW will also go the extra mile to plan collaborative work-related activities, ensuring they gain practical experience and valuable skills to thrive in the workforce.
